Using Paybook

Updated September 13, 2026

Paybook is a tool for recording salon work, calculating staff pay, and keeping related records. These terms describe the product’s role and the responsibilities that remain with the person using it.

01

Your records and decisions

Use Paybook for records you are authorized to manage. Enter the correct amounts, dates, staff assignments, and pay terms. Review the calculation and period before confirming that pay has been paid. You remain responsible for decisions about staff pay and for making the actual payment.

Paybook does not transfer wages, file payroll taxes, determine a worker’s legal classification, or establish whether your pay arrangement meets employment requirements. Its calculations depend on the information and settings you provide.

02

Estimates, assistant answers, and saved history

Current-period figures can change as you add or correct entries. Hypothetical calculations are previews; they do not change pay terms by themselves. Review assistant output and the app’s confirmation step before saving changes. A saved paid receipt records the confirmed pay; the owner can use the app’s reopening flow when a legitimate correction is needed.

03

Devices, sync, and backups

Keep your device, Apple Account, and app PINs secure. Sync and some optional features depend on supported hardware and external services. Export backups before changing devices or making major changes to your records, and keep the files secure. A backup you share may contain private salon information.

04

Optional connected services

Connecting an AI provider is optional. You supply your own account and API key, and any provider charges and service conditions are separate from Paybook. Features that use Apple services also depend on their availability and your device settings.

05

Access and pricing

The website currently describes planned launch pricing: free for one employee, and $24.99 per month for teams with unlimited staff, with a 30-day trial when team access opens. The installation and purchase flow will show the offer available to you before you accept it. An early-access request is a request for installation information; it does not start a paid subscription or promise immediate access.

06
